Dental implants offer a safe and secure way of replacing natural teeth. An implant is a titanium screw that is placed into the jawbone just like a tooth root. Implants can be used to replace any number of teeth. A single false tooth can be put on top of an implant to fill a gap, or several implants can be placed to hold in a denture that would otherwise be impossibly loose. Placing an implant can be done under local anaesthetic

It is important that implants are cared for in the same way as natural teeth. If they are looked after properly, implants can last much longer than alternative tooth replacement options, such as bridges, and so can be more cost-effective in the long term.
An assessment needs to be carried out to determine whether or not an implant can be placed. If you are interested in an implant, please call the practice on 01202 601640.
